On "Claiming"

The following comments are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of anyone I know.On "Claiming" (a term [definition mine] used by some people of faith to indicate their need or desire for something and expectation of getting that something, perhaps by faith in the power of God):
Over a PA system, a store manager announces there is a lost child in his office who really wants his parent now. You, realizing your child is  missing, head to the office to claim your child. When you get there and your child sees YOU, everyone there knows you belong together. What a relief!  What you claim to claim is someplace in this world, maybe closer than you believe; and its waiting for YOU to actually show up with a history of desire and preparation and unite with it. It will recognize you and everyone can see you belong in that place. Until you and I show up ready to put on the new man, so to speak, the "next level" our potential lives and influence will simply have to wait until we get there. Unfortunately, some cannot afford the luxury of waiting for us and will pass on in the meantime. Since faith without appropriate effort is lifeless, we must move, go to CLAIM what we know is ours. Not for selfish consumption, but to satisfy the area the world lacks in our spheres of influence. What you "claim" however isn't the one that's lost as much as it hasn't had the chance to recognize and resonate with you. The child isn’t lost, it has been found. But the question your desire, your purpose repeatedly screams is: “ (Say Your Name Here)”, WHERE ARE YOU?
Judgement is not only on the things we do, but also on the things we say. Our words testify of faith but our actions declare we fundamentally DO NOT AGREE. So we may try to impress others by saying it more, maybe try to convince ourselves we agree by saying it often and rather loudly. The truth is we don’t always agree with God about ourselves and more often defy our greater selves and cancel the walk with God. If you don’t agree with Him, can you walk with Him? Didn’t think so. If you want to get what you claim, forget impressing the folk a few seats down from you and show up with your undeniable, God-given credentials. Said another way, if you keep doing what you do, you'll keep getting what you've been getting. We can be transformed! Personal Change=renewed mind. Renewed mind=Personal Change.
